USA Football's U.S. Flag National Team Trials are coming to Indianapolis for 2021. What are Trials you ask?
The U.S. Flag National Team Trials is an in-depth testing and evaluation event to identify athletes that will join Team USA to compete at the 2022 World Games.
Athlete testing will be based on the following NFL Combine-style assessments:
  • 5-10-5 Drill
  • “L” Drill
  • Med-Ball Toss
  • 40 Yard Dash – Electronic timed
  • Broad Jump
  • Vertical Jump
In addition to the Combine testing, athletes will be divided and placed on teams for games of 5-v-5 flag, using IFAF Rules.

Athletes who participate at Trials are being evaluated for a roster spot on the 24-person flag national team preliminary rosters for both men and women. Members of the preliminary rosters will compete in exhibition play against other international teams at the 2022 International Bowl. Based on athletes’ performance at the International Bowl, USA Football will select it’s final roster of men and women to represent the United States in flag football’s initial showcase at the World Games in 2022.
